The Meaningful Mediation Podcast

I am pleased to announce that I have just launched my own podcast: The Meaningful Mediation Podcast.

The goal of The Meaningful Mediation Podcast is to provide the best mediation tips and strategies for negotiation from leading lawyers and negotiators.

The hope is that this ongoing collection of strategies and tips will become a valuable resource for those who regularly mediate and negotiate.

Why the Meaningful Mediation Podcast?

I decided to start this podcast because there is a lack of sustained, dedicated advice available online for these important topics. Most resources I have found are one-off episodes on how to prepare for mediation, often created by bar associations or lawyers for clients. Worse yet, most episodes I have found are quite old with no ongoing or recent conversations. Very few, if any, mediators are actually leading these conversations or have an active podcast. This is an obvious void, and my intention as a Florida Mediator is to provide something of value to help parties resolve their cases more effectively.

What is Next for the Podcast?

I have already started scheduling and interviewing guests. I have a professional online recording studio (not Zoom) where I interview my guests from the comfort of their office. The technology is amazing, and the whole scheduling and interview process is convenient, quick, and seamless. The interviews will soon be available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other popular channels.

Who are the Guests for the Podcast?

If you are a Florida lawyer, you may have heard of some of these extraordinary lawyers. My guests are leading lawyers who actively negotiate and mediate. The goal is to address these topics from different perspectives, including those who practice in commercial law, construction, insurance, personal injury, and real estate, to name a few. Likewise, I intend to keep the discussion balanced between those who primarily represent the Plaintiff and those who primarily represent the Defense. Likewise, I intend to have guests from the academic and business world who also have negotiation expertise, so their insights can be captured as well.

What Topics are Covered on the Podcast?

All guests will have the opportunity to provide their background and a defining moment from their career. The core segments are the "Mediator's Toolbox" and "Top Three Tips for Better Negotiation Outcomes." The "Mediator's Toolbox" is an open discussion focused on tips and strategies for achieving more effective mediation outcomes. Think of this as the macro view for mediation. Conversely, the "Top Three Tips for Better Negotiation Outcomes" is a laser-focused discussion of the best negotiation tips. These are fascinating discussion and there is plenty to learn from here.

Want to be a Guest on the Podcast?

If you would like to share your expertise and knowledge concerning mediation and negotiation, I would be delighted to have you as a guest. Likewise, if you know of someone who would be interested in sharing their wisdom, please pass this on to them. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your knowledge and skills. Building an ongoing conversation and community of professionals dedicated to improving the mediation process and negotiation skills is a win-win for all. All you need to do is send me an email to get started. I hope to hear from you.
